Know if carpet cleaning is on you
BC's Policy Guideline 1 says tenants are generally responsible for steam cleaning or shampooing carpets after a tenancy of one year, and sooner if there were uncaged pets, smoking or stains.
Book the elevator with strata
Most Downtown concierge towers require a move-out elevator booking (and sometimes a damage deposit). Book carpet cleaning after furniture is out so we can reach every room without shifting sofas.

How much does move-out carpet cleaning cost in a Downtown Vancouver condo?
A fixed price by bedrooms: $100 for 1 bedroom, $120 for 2 bedrooms, $140 for 3 bedrooms. For houses and townhouses, add +$40 per additional room or hallway and +$50 per flight of stairs, with a $100 minimum. A receipt is provided.
Do Downtown towers require elevator or loading-bay bookings?
Often yes. Many Yaletown, Coal Harbour and central towers with concierge require a service-elevator or loading-bay booking for move-outs, and sometimes for larger service visits. Book the elevator for furniture first, then schedule carpet cleaning once the unit is empty. Share buzzer, concierge contact and visitor-parking instructions when you book. Call or text 778-887-0969.
Do I have to clean the carpets when I move out of a rental in BC?
Usually, if you've been there a year or more. Residential Tenancy Policy Guideline 1 says the tenant is generally responsible for steam cleaning or shampooing carpets after a tenancy of one year, and regardless of length if carpets were deliberately or carelessly stained, or there were uncaged pets or smoking.

Where should the carpet cleaner park Downtown?
Visitor parkades fill fast and street loading is timed. Tell us which loading bay or parkade entrance your strata uses, whether a pass is needed, and any time window the concierge set. A short loading-zone stop is usually enough for a condo cleaning once the elevator is booked.
Can I rent a machine instead of booking a cleaning?
