A steamer heats water past boiling and blows steam onto a surface. It is made for hard floors, tile and grout.
It has no suction, so it does not pull dirt and old shampoo out of carpet. We do not rent steamers.

You fill the tank with hot tap water and the cleaning solution we include. The brush scrubs, and strong suction pulls the dirty water into a second tank.
You will see the brown water you took out. That is the clean you want for carpets, stairs and rugs.

Vacuum first
Dry dirt and hair turn to mud when wet. A good vacuum makes every pass count.

Fill with hot water from the tap. Do not boil it or heat it in a microwave.

Slow, then dry passes
Push slowly with the spray on, then pull back with it off. Extra dry passes mean faster drying.

Do you rent steam cleaners in Vancouver?
We rent the Bissell Big Green, a hot water extraction carpet cleaner. Most people searching for a carpet steam cleaner want this type of machine. It does not make steam. It sprays hot water and cleaning solution, scrubs, and sucks the dirty water back out. We do not rent steam mops or tile steamers.
How much is a steam cleaner rental?
Our Big Green rentals are $50 (Machine Only), $60 (Pro, with brush and sprayer) or $70 (Max, with brush and spot cleaner) for 48 hours. Delivery, pickup and cleaning solution are included. Extra time is $25 per 24 hours. Prices are in CAD.
Is hot water extraction better than steam for carpet?
For carpet, yes in most homes. A steamer has no suction, so dirt stays in the fibres. Hot water extraction rinses the carpet and pulls the dirty water out, which is why carpet cleaning companies use it too.
Does the Big Green heat the water?
No. Fill it with hot tap water. Do not boil the water or heat it in a microwave.
Can I clean stairs and a sofa with it?
Yes, with the iClean Pro ($60) or iClean Max ($70). Both come with the hose and hand tools. The iClean Machine Only ($50) has no hose, so it is for carpets only. Check the care tag on a sofa first.
I am a tenant moving out. What should I book?
Book a Big Green for the day before your inspection so the carpet has time to dry. For stains, choose the iClean Max. Pay a $40 refundable cleaning deposit hold once per order, released after the return is accepted.
When do you deliver?
We deliver in Richmond, Vancouver and Burnaby on your booked date in a 10 AM to 2 PM, 2 to 5 PM or 5 to 8 PM window, then pick the machine up after your 48 hours.
